Join Beth Jacob Board member Dina Honig as she reflects on her kibbutznik upbringing! Dina will discuss the history of Kibbutzim in Israel, especially in the Ichud and Meuchad movement, and the changes in their ideology and way of operating through the years.
Dina grew up on Kibbutz Kfar HaNassi in the Upper Galilee. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from UC Berkeley, California, an M.A. in Education and Student Services with emphasis on Career Counselling from San Jose State, California, and a teaching degree in Special Education from Haifa University. After a long career as a Career and Academic Counselor in Israel, USA, and Canada, she has completed and Immigration Consulting certification and licensing at Humber College. Dina has her own Immigration Consulting business, Doorway To Canada, as well as working at Hamilton Family Jewish Services as a Career Counselor.
